Physiotherapy focuses on the Recovery and Rehabilitation

This discipline mainly focuses on the recovery and rehabilitation of patients with a variety of physical function conditions. Rehabilitation work involves various forms of exercise, such as stretching, strengthening, and cold-water treatment. Our Diploma in Physiotherapy will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the various aspects of healthcare-related to physical function and movement of the human body.

Physiotherapy is the science of cure, prevent and rehabilitate physically challenged and disabled people. Those planning to study this discipline of medicine can begin with a Diploma in Physiotherapy programme. It is a 3-year undergraduate professional course with a curriculum teaching about physical movement and channelising it to avoid disability and ailments of movement.

Chynna Law Hui San, a Diploma in Physiotherapy alumni and currently a Physiotherapist at Premier Elderly Care Centre, acquires her life skills at CC Kuching. She said, ‘Physiotherapy is about movement, for our body to function properly we have to be able to perform certain movements and stretch all the muscles. I’m glad that I joined this programme as it teaches us how to be a good physiotherapist and the hands-on experience that we had in the classroom made a huge impact when we put it into practice.’
